My research focuses on multilingualism and language in interaction, particularly in parent-child interactions and healthcare communication. I utilize Conversation Analysis and ethnography as my primary research methods. By disseminating research findings through publications, social projects and workshops, I hope to contribute to the academic community and the general public, fostering a deeper understanding of multilingualism and enhancing interpersonal communication.
Currently, I am based in Italy but working as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Li Xiao Ting at the University of Alberta on a research project titled "Mandarin Directive System". Additionally, I lead a science communication project called RaBBiT, which is dedicated to supporting early bilingualism. I am also writing my first book on raising bilingual children. Occasionally, I offer cross-cultural communication training to companies and provide consultation services to parents who are raising multilingual children.
